Blog Discussion I have my site 80% complete on the user end. You can sign up and make your own posts. Then tag those posts. Tagging is a link to related pages. So if I enter a post about Hump Day Reprisal and put in a tag of “HDR” and someone else post about HDR then they are lossely linked.
So it will have group sites (right now only users have sites). Group Site will let groups (what ever kind of groups you guys come up with) share a site. This means that anyone in that group can post and it will show up on the group page. I guess it would be a good idea to give you the link. www.arcanatower.com. There is a link on the right to sign up.
I know alot of you blog. I was wondering what made you choose the service you currently use. Was it convience, friends already had it, what? What kind of feature do you wish you had?
when I began to blog in 2002 (looong time ago! whee! four years of blogging goodness!) I chose diaryland because when i searched for “diary” on google, it's what it came up with. though i do admit I have a blogspot blog, as well as a myspace blog. I don't keep up the myspace blog, because– well. i loathe myspace. *shrugs* I wish Diaryland didn't crash so much *sad* and that it would let me upload images without paying an annual fee. Instead I have to find a clever hidy hole to upload my images to and let people see them. When I started Blogging, i'd like to note, that it wasn't called blogging yet. I started a blog because I needed an outlet, and not a diary in your traditional manner. I wanted people to see it. That was the point. I mostly wanted my co-workers (a Co-worker) to read it. I kept giving him hints, but honestly, i was sixteen and it was clear he wasn't interested. Anyway. if you want to read more about my pathetic teenage years, you should read the archive on my blog (oh so far back!) –Lissa
There are alot of people that blog, but you don't. Any particular reason? Is there anything that would help you start? What if it was easier? Or you could customize your page?
If you don't want ot post an answer on this page that is cool. shot me an mailto://archeious@arcanatower.com
Should we be blogging?…I would think my question in response would be this: How entertaining can reading about Discover Card really be? And the resulting answer would be: yeah, it actually could be entertaining. Sign me up! Sincerely, Heather
The reason I ask is I want to make new “social networking” site that is a little bit more interactive then jsut your plain ole MySpace or BlogSpot. I want to have it setup so users can… wait I can let teh secret out yet… It will be cool. At least in my mind it is cool. Sincerly - Jeff
Drew says: I don't blog. And the reason I don't is… probably just the setup. I don't really want to take the time to figure out a place to do so just to find out that I have a 3 mb storage limit, a hidden $50 fee, or an arcane design that makes it a pain to post.
When you put the words “social networking” in quotation marks it kind of makes it look like you're setting up an “escort service” online, which is funny. Either way, I repeat, sign me up!– Heather
